It's been really hectic for The Garbage POD recently. Firstly, traveling back to my hometown of Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire, to meet up with someone who created one of the most iconic music venues of the 60's 70's & 80's. David Stopps is the founder of the Friars Aylesbury Music Club & he spoke to the Garbage POD about the club's history & showed us around the New Friars Aylesbury Exhibition at Buckinghamshire County Museum (Interview & Video coming soon.
Then The Garbage POD, Spamhead Productions, Ballhawk's Nest & 1800 Online Network all attended UK Podcasters 1st Meetup at the Citizen M hotel in London, where we met a fantastic group of like minded people & picked up some tips & ideas along the way. (Our audio from the event will be featuring in a future Garbage POD episode)
Last & by no means least, we have been preparing for our annual Yuri's Night podcast. If you have been following our tweets & FaceBook statuses, you will know that this years podcast has been registered as an official Yuri's Night event, so we had to think of something special to put in the Podisphere.
For 2014, we have collaborated with the National Space Centre to bring you "A Space Cadets Guide To Space"
We would like to thank Zoe Baily & Josh Barker from The National Space Centre's Education & Space Communication team, for taking time out to show us around the complex & helping us answer questions from our social media followers.
To mix things up a bit, This years Yuri's Night Podcast will be streamed on Shazizz & Awake internet radio networks at 12 Noon & again at 5pm UK time on April 12 & will be re-broadcast at various times of the day on the 1800online Network. You can listen to the show by visiting the LIVE Streaming Event Hub.
We hope you will enjoy the show, because we really enjoyed making it.
