Historian & college friend of mine, Karl Vaughan has released the latest in his successful series of pictorial history books. As the name suggests, Aylesbury Then & Now, shows the changes in Buckinghamshire's county town over the decades.
Aylesbury has had Some beautiful Architecture in it's time but many of these buildings have been torn down & replaced by eyesores like the County offices & the original Friars Square shopping centre (luckily the old town still survives).
Aylesbury Then & Now includes many of these lost treasures & really is a nostalgic journey into the market towns past.
Karl also writes a column in the Bucks Herald newspaper called Back In Time, as well as running an Aylesbury nostalgia Facebook Page called Aylesbury Remembered.
